Alton Milne on TIMELOCK
“When David Griffith first approached me to explain the premise of Timelock, I was eager to read the full script. On discovering the character, Callum, I returned to David and demanded that he give me the part. Luckily for me he did.
“When John C Gilmore came on board to play Mark, David explained to us that he was open to input from the lead actors to develop the characters and the dialogue. This is an exceptionally rare yet fantastic way to work. The rehearsal process was simply a pleasure from start to finish. Although John and I were playing enemies we had great chemistry. The freedom to really explore the characters that this process allowed us meant we were able to fall on our faces and experiment rather than trying to force a finished performance. The approach also gave us the chance to build our character and be at one with them.
“When David showed me the shooting schedule where we would get through seven to eight pages of the script a day, I did not think it was even remotely possible. Although the days were sometimes long, it is amazing what was achieved with a talented cast and crew. Filmmaking is a team effort and the Timelock team was a well-oiled machine.
“It was a pleasure to work with everyone on Timelock and I look forward to seeing how the audience react to this clever thriller.”
